Renwick Brutus

Inquiring, integrating and inspiring, entrepreneur Renwick Brutus believes in the power of the possible. His uncanny ability to identify issues, extrapolate solutions, project the positive, and prioritize the path to success informs his every moment – personally, in business and as a community leader.

Growing up in rural Guyana, one of the poorest countries in the world, Renwick experienced a powerful mix of adversity and accomplishment. The lessons he learned forged a mindset deep within him, as he resolved to live life on his own terms while helping others do the same.

After completing his studies and working as a research economist in the Central Bank of Guyana, Renwick and his family moved to the United States, where he earned his MBA at Fordham University. During the following decade working on Wall Street, Renwick was recognized numerous times for outstanding achievement in the financial and investment services industry.

Today, Renwick applies his unique blend of business strategy and interpersonal insight to help individuals prosper and companies grow. Constantly hunting for changes that will improve performance, he encourages people to engage with the world, their environments and each other. “I look for shifts in paradigm that unleash potential,” he explains. “When clients find their rhythm, there’s no wasted energy. Success naturally follows.”

Now based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Renwick owns three companies, Achievement Resources, LLC, Prism Wealth Management, LLC, and Universal Decontamination Services, LLC; consults with an impressive list of clients; is in demand as a motivational speaker; and is writing a book. He also serves in leadership roles with several nonprofit organizations, including the Grand Rapids Community Foundation, the Center for Community Leadership and the Women’s Resource Center.
